It has been a long time since I have posted but I have some awesome things to share!
I have never been to the beach or seen the ocean, so after our last trip (over a YEAR ago!) Josh promised me that our next vacation would be somewhere where we could go to the beach.
After researching and budgeting out our trip we decided to go to San Diego!
And I have to say that seeing the actual ocean and having my feet in the sand is ten times better than I had ever imagined! It was also Sophie’s first time at the beach as well, which was such a wonderful thing to experience. I was in complete awe looking out to the horizon and seeing nothing but water. No hills, no mountains. Only water. It was absolutely insane!
We also found a ton of shells and sand dollars! Looking for those as the sun was setting was such a magical experience to share with my baby girl and my best friend /husband!
We also visited Sea World. At first I was very stand-offish to going there (personal reasons) but when Josh suggested it, I trusted him.
My favorite animal has always been Orcas. They are such intelligent, fascinating and beautiful creatures, and I have always dreamed of seeing/petting one of them.
I was under the impression that Sea World no longer had an Orca exhibit, so when we got there, I was completely clueless that I would be having another thing checked off my bucket list.
I may or may not have pulled a Kristin Bell and completely bawled my eyes out when I saw the Orcas.
I was in complete shock from how much more beautiful they are in real life.
(Now just to pet one. A girl can dream! LOL.)
The food we had was awesome, and while downtown 2 little places really caught our attention. (I may or may not have made Josh go to the same places more than once!)
The Burger Lounge and Salt & Straw were fantastic places! I am already having dreams remembering the Ice Cream from Salt & Straw, which had unique and delicious ice cream flavors. The Burger Lounge promotes that they only use grass-fed beef, and the strawberry shakes are AMAZING!
All together I have to say that this trip was completely and utterly a success!
(I know Sophie was in need of a nap, but her cute little crying face gets me every time! On a side note, I know it doesn’t look like it in the picture but she did AMAZING on the trip!)
Thank you, guys, and I will talk to you in my next post!
