Okay, if you have never heard of a London Fog, this is your chance! A London Fog is one of the most delicious drinks I have ever tried. It’s basically a super spruced up Earl Grey Tea. But the thing is that I could never really remake one at home. Well, I couldn’t make one WELL that is. I had many disastrous attempts. I couldn’t figure out what was off.
The milk to water ratio?
The amount of time I had been brewing the tea?
I just couldn’t put my finger on it. I had seen a couple of recipes playing around with different herbs added in, like hibiscus, rose petals, and you guessed it, lavender!
To be completely honest, I was never really a huge fan of lavender, that is until our San Diego trip when I tried lavender and honey ice cream, and OH. MY. GOODNESS. Holy wonderful flavor! Seriously. (Shout out to Salt and Straw!)
So I decided to give it a try, and I am so glad that I did!
I am a coffee fanatic, but this recipe has made me exchange my daily cup of coffee for this calming tea latte! (Ok, ok, just one cup 😘)
I think what I love most is how calm it helps me feel. I am a wildly anxious person, and I have always appreciated natural remedies, but when it comes to my anxiety, I have never really found anything natural that also noticeably helps my anxiety. As crazy as it may sound though, this has actually made enough of a difference to where I AM able to feel it (not that it takes away my anxiety completely, but definitely helps me calm down).
I hope you try this super delicious drink, & let me know what you think in the comments below!
